Frequently asked questions

How the network works, who you hire, and what happens after we know which Ninja fits your project.

Client care & payment

3 questions
Is Paint Ninjas involved after the introduction?

Yes. We communicate with the client and work with the independent business before, during, and after the project. Our role is to support a clear beginning, responsive communication during the work, and appropriate follow-through afterward.

Who do I pay for the project work?

You hire and pay the independent contractor or business directly under its own scope, price, schedule, payment terms, warranty, and service agreement.

How is Paint Ninjas paid?

The client pays Paint Ninjas directly for its connection, communication, and client-care services. The client chooses a fee between 10% and 25%, based on the level of involvement. This fee is separate from payment to the independent business.

Human matching

1 question
Is my Ninja chosen by AI?

No. Every connection is made by real professionals who take the time to understand your project and the independent businesses in our network. We want to help skilled businesses grow while helping each client find the right fit for the work—not send projects through an automated matching system.

About the Network

2 questions
What is Paint Ninjas Network?

Paint Ninjas Network is a connection and project-matching service. We learn what your project needs, then help connect you with a real, independent trade business whose experience, capacity, and specialty fit the work.

Is Paint Ninjas a general contractor?

No. Paint Ninjas Network is not a general contractor and does not employ a standing crew for every trade. The independent business you select provides its own proposal, agreement, scheduling, insurance, and workmanship.

Hiring

1 question
Are the Ninjas subcontractors?

No. Our principle is simple: No subs. Real businesses. We introduce you directly to independent painting, drywall, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile, flooring, exterior, restoration, and other blue-collar trade businesses.

Process

1 question
How does the process work?

Tell us what you need through the project form. We review the scope, location, timing, photos, and priorities. If we know a strong fit, we make the introduction. You speak with that business, review its proposal, and decide whether to hire it directly.

Trades

1 question
Do you work with every trade?

The network began in painting and finishing, but it is built to support many skilled trades. Availability varies by project, location, timing, and the businesses currently in our network. Tell us what you need—if we know the right Ninja, we will make the connection.

Standards

1 question
How are businesses selected?

We consider relevant experience, craftsmanship, reliability, communication, capacity, business standing, and fit for the specific project. A good professional is not automatically the right professional for every job.

Pricing

1 question
Who provides the estimate and who do I pay?

The independent trade business provides its own estimate or proposal. If you choose to move forward, you hire and pay that business directly under its terms. Any separate Paint Ninjas support or coordination fee will be explained clearly before you proceed.

Brushed Monkey

1 question
What is the relationship with Brushed Monkey?

Brushed Monkey is our sister company and the hands-on craft business where Paint Ninjas began. It remains focused on elevated painting, fine finishing, cabinetry, plaster, restorative work, training, and select projects. Paint Ninjas carries those years of trade experience and relationships into a broader network.

For Trade Businesses

1 question
How do I join the network?

Independent trade businesses can submit a network application with their specialty, service area, experience, insurance, project photos, references, and current capacity. We look for real businesses that take pride in their craft and communicate well with clients.

Still wondering?

Every project has its own particulars.

Send us the scope, timing, location, and a few photos. We’ll help identify the right next conversation.
